What is CBD ?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally occurring cannabinoid constituent of cannabis. It was discovered in 1940 and initially thought not to be pharmaceutically active. It is one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in hemp plants, accounting for up to 40% of the plant’s extract.
What does it do?
CBD restores your endocannabinoid (ECS) system bringing your body’s cannabinoid system (CB1 & CB2) back to a healthy state. Most people are deficient in CBD. Taking CBD restores your body’s endocannabinoid system to a healthy state.
What is it good for?
Helps with more than 50 conditions. Here are a few: pain, inflammation, stress, anxiety, fibromyalgia, arthritis, lower cholesterol, PMS and other female problems. The list goes on.
Can I get high from CBD?
CBD oil does not get you “high” in the traditional sense of smoking, vaping, or ingesting marijuana that contains high levels of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). THC is what causes the “hazy”, “stoned,” euphoric, sometimes mind-altering thoughts and feelings that are typically associated with marijuana use.
Is CBD Legal ?
Industrial hemp and its derived products now are legal on a federal level, and states will develop new regulatory plans. After a lengthy process through Congress, the President signed into law The Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (the 2018 Farm Bill) on Dec. 20, 2018.
Will CBD show in a drug test ?
Most tests do not detect the presence of CBD (cannabidiol). … Fortunately, the urine drug test for THC and its metabolites is known to have very little cross-reactivity to cannabinoids that are not psychoactive, such as CBD. It also depends on how your body breaks down the cannabidiol. Some blood test and very sophisticated lab test it could show that trace of THC. Another thing to keep in mind is to buy from a reputable company that test thier THC levels of their products and make sure they are in the 0.3% THC or less range. Leaving the oil exposed to the sun or high temperatures could activate the THC and make it stronger. Another alternative is to use an isolate CBD product.
What are the side effects ?
Some people can have an allergic reaction to hemp and break out in a rash and in some cases have difficulty breathing. Like nut allergies.
Other known side effect and a sign you are taking too much for your body is sleepiness.
Is CBD safe to take with other medications ?
The best answer is to ask your doctor and never quit taking your medicines without asking you doctor.
Can I build a tolerance to CBD ?
Chemicals or pharmaceuticals activate the active side of the brain making you want more and more while CBD a natural supplement activates the other side of the brain not building up a tolerance to the product.
